Funmi Olosunde ’06 (Brooklyn, NY), began her term as President of the Society of Alumni of July 1, 2024, and will serve until June 2026. Joining Funmi as the VP of the Society of Alumni is Drew Newman ’04 (Tampa, FL). Funmi and Drew have worked tirelessly on behalf of Williams throughout their time as alumni.
Funmi Olosunde ’06 is the SVP Director of Project Management and Operations at Razorfish Health, a healthcare advertising agency within Publicis Groupe, which is the world’s third largest communications group in the country. Razorfish Health has offices in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and London. She heads up the Project Management capability, ensuring operational excellence and quality delivery of advertising collateral for multiple clients in the health and wellness space. Prior to Razorfish/Publicis, she worked at City Lights Youth Theatre, an arts nonprofit that served over 2,000 young performers annually, where she managed the marketing, programming, administration, and finances of the company. While at City Lights she underwent a certificate program at the Institute for Not-for Profit Management Executive Education program at Columbia Business School. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Drew Newman ’04 is general counsel of J.C. Newman Cigar Company, the oldest family-owned premium cigar manufacturer in America. A fourth-generation cigar maker, Drew continues a 129-year-old tradition that his great-grandfather started in 1895. Before joining the family business full time, Drew served as the Chief of Staff of a national nonprofit based in New York City and as a Legislative Director at the Council of the District of Columbia where he oversaw transportation and public works for Washington, D.C. After law school, Drew was a judicial law clerk at the D.C. Court of Appeals. Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College, a Juris Doctor from American University, and a Master of Public Policy with a Certificate in Urban Policy and Planning from Princeton University.
Both Funmi and Drew have served on the Executive Committee of the Society of Alumni and will now lead the group in their work on behalf of the Society.
