Alumni Golf Tournament

Housing is available on campus in the Fort Bradshaw dormitory. The cost is $172 per person total for 3 nights. Fort Bradshaw has double beds and shared common rooms. Linens and 1 towel are provided. Housing is for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening only. You must have your room cleared out by noon on Sunday, July 27.

We've arranged a special room block at the Fairfield Inn for a discounted rate of $225 per night (with a 3-night minimum). If you’d prefer to stay closer to campus, The Williams Inn is another comfortable and convenient option. DINNER TICKETS

Additional meal tickets may be purchased for Friday’s classic New England lobster dinner ($95) or Saturday’s dinner ($80). Please purchase all extra dinner tickets by July 9 so that we have an accurate count of guests.

SCRAMBLE TICKETS

All spouses, partners or guests who are not participating in the Tournament have the option to participate in a special 9-hole Scramble at Taconic on Friday afternoon. Please register any guests for the scramble by July 9.

ON-CAMPUS HOUSING

If you would like to stay on campus and have not yet paid for a room, please do so by July 9.

The tournament is played over three days, Friday through Sunday, and consists of five 9-hole matches. The format is four-ball (better ball) match play, under the rules of the United States Golf Association. All play will be at scratch. The cart fee is $50 per person/per cart at both Taconic and Waubeeka.

Before you play, check-in at Taconic on Thursday from 12 - 5 p.m. and on Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. to receive your registration packets.

Please note that you could be teeing off as late as 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Please plan Sunday travel accordingly. 

Alumni may enter with either an alum or a non-alum guest. The combined handicaps of partners must be within 10 strokes of each other. Online entry form must be completed by April 22, 2025.

Assignments to flights and pairings for match play will be made available on the Monday before the tournament.  The flights and pairings will be posted at Taconic Golf Club (413) 458-3997 and emailed to you early in the week. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in all flights.

In an effort at fairness for the many alumni who want to participate in the tournament, a lottery selection system was instituted for the 1999 Tournament and will be used again this year. To be included in the lottery draw, your submitted application and payment must be completed by April 22, 2025.

Applications will be randomly drawn by head pro Josh Hillman, at Taconic Golf Club. Applicants will be notified in early May of their selection or wait list status. In the case of last-minute dropouts, an invitation will be extended to the next team on the wait list until the field is full.

This year’s entry fee is $500 per player (with a $100 fee reduction for the Classes 2016-2025). This covers Thursday practice round, five 9-hole rounds of golf, cocktails and dinner Friday and Saturday nights, and breakfasts at Taconic and Waubeeka each morning of the tournament. Carts are not included, but this year we are subsidizing the cost to bring the onsite rental rate to $40 per person per cart for 18 holes / $20 per person per cart for 9 holes.

Once you are accepted into the tournament, you will have the ability to purchase extra dinner tickets ($95 for Friday and $80 for Saturday), scramble tickets for guests, and on-campus lodging.
