We're excited to offer an updated Williams Alumni Directory experience. Learn more below.
We're excited to welcome you to the new online Alumni Directory! Please know that participation in and use of the Alumni Directory constitutes acceptance of and agreement with the terms of use as outlined on this page. They are subject to change.
The college is transitioning to a new alumni database, which allows us to upgrade the alumni directory for the first time in several decades, providing a more intuitive and friendly user experience. This is the first significant change to the directory since the sunsetting of the print directory in 2007.
The new directory is owned and designed by the college to provide greater flexibility and future enhancements including:
- an easier interface to update your contact and professional information
- the ability to set and change your email communications preferences,
- access to your giving and event history
- more robust reporting for alumni volunteers
Option 1 (Preferred Method): You should have received a personalized email inviting you to visit the new Alumni Directory site. Click the unique-to-you link in that email. On the “Log in” page that follows, you will see your primary email address displayed. Enter the PIN you received in the invitation email as your temporary password and your date of birth. You will be prompted to reset your password after you have logged in with the temporary password.
Please note: if you’re having trouble logging in here, we may have the wrong date of birth on file for you. Please email [email protected] with your correct date of birth.
Option 2: You can also create a new login by visiting the new Alumni Directory site. Click “Create New Login” and proceed with the first-time log in prompts. We may need to validate your information to create the new login. If that is the case, it may take 1-2 business days.
Your email address will be your primary means of logging in rather than a 5-7 character code (for alumni who graduated since 1995, this was often the Unix / start of your email address from your years as a Williams student).
Because your email address will be your unique login, each alum should use a separate email address. If you share an email address with an alum spouse, you should use separate email addresses to access the alumni directory and update your profile.
If you change your primary email in the Alumni Directory, it will become the email address you use to log in and the email address Williams uses to communicate with you.
At present, you will continue to access Williams People using the credentials you have been using (rather than the new login you are creating for the directory).
As of October 1, 2024, alumni volunteers can access their fundraising reports through williams.edu/myreports using their Directory login credentials.
We recognize that having two logins may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience as we transition into these new systems.
After logging in to the Alumni Directory, you will have the opportunity to edit, personalize, and set what information will be displayed to fellow alumni and current students.
Option 1: Click on “My Profile” in the user dropdown to see your current profile. You can customize any of the information as displayed by clicking the pencil icon.
Option 2: Click on “Edit Profile” in the user dropdown to personalize, show, or hide any of the information fields that will be displayed on your profile.
You can then adjust and further personalize contact information, addresses, and professional experience.
You can now add to or edit your professional experience information and adjust dates or hide entries from the directory view.
Please note that the ability to edit your education background is currently under development and will be available soon.
From your profile page, click the “Directory View” button to see how your information is displayed.
You can easily search for classmates and friends by using a variety of filters and criteria to narrow your search.
You can currently search by Name, Country, City, Major, Job Industry, Job Function, and Class Year. As we continue to build out the platform, additional search filters will be added including company, geographical regions, and student interests and activities.
Click on “View Profile” to see the full profile of a fellow alum.
From the home screen, you can click on "Start Tour" to learn more about the navigation of the directory.
Additionally, you can click on "Learn More" to access additional resources, including a video on how to get started. From this page you can also request technical support or report a problem with the new platform.
