We look forward to welcoming families and guests to campus in celebration of their Ephs' graduation from Williams and hope you'll be able to join us for the weekend of Friday, July 22 - Sunday, July 24, 2022. In addition to the schedule of events and activities below, we offer the following information and guidance to make your time here more comfortable and enjoyable.

 

Schedule for Families and Guests

Friday, July 22

9:30 AM HIKE AT HOPKINS FOREST, led by Katherine Myers '85. Go for a run, hike with Daryle, or explore on your own. Buses will run every 15 minutes until noon from the back of ‘62 Center facing the Parking Garage.

2:00 PM — FACULTY LECTURE Disentangling Empathy: Opposing Contributions of Different Facts of Empathy to Interpersonal Accuracy, Jeremy Cone, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology,
Bronfman Auditorium Wachenheim Science Center

3:00 PM— CAMPUS TOUR led by student Admission tour guides. Meet in front of Weston Hall

6:00 PM — WELCOME BACK BBQ WITH YOUR EPHS,  Upper Cole Field

Saturday, July 23

10:30 AM — CLASS OF 2020 CELEBRATION CEREMONY. Williams (Library) Quad. A live stream of the event will be available here for viewing from computers and handheld devices.

12:30 PM — BOX LUNCH FOR ALL.  Upper Cole Field

2:00 PM — CAMPUS TOUR led by student Admission tour guides. Meet in front of Weston Hall (which will be closed that day). 

2:00 PM  Faculty Lecture: Clocks, Navigation, and the Never-Ending Quest for PrecisionTiku Majumder, Barclay Jermain Professor of Natural Philosophy.
Bronfman Auditorium Wachenheim Science Center

2:00 PM - Encanto at Images Cinema on Spring St. First come, first served for this free family-friendly flick. Seventy-five audience members max: everyone must be masked and present proof of vaccination.

2:30 PM – COLE FIELD HIKE hosted by the College Relations office. Departs from Paresky Center porch at 2:30 sharp. This is an easy, one-mile, 45-minute hike through campus to Cole Field offers a wonderful view up to the Pine Cobble Ridge. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle. Questions? 2:30 PM – CLARK/STONE BENCH HIKE  hosted by the College Relations office. Departs from Paresky Center porch at 2:30 sharp. This is a gentle three-mile hike from campus to a beautiful outlook behind and above The Clark Art Institute will take about two hours. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle. Questions? 3:30 PM — CAMPUS TOUR led by student Admission tour guides. Meet in front of Weston Hall (which will be closed that day). 

Until 5:00 PM WILLIAMS COLLEGE MUSEUM OF ART. Free admission to a host of summer exhibits. Williams College Museum of Art

Until 5:00 PM — CLARK ART INSTITUTE featuring Rodin in the United States and much more. Clark Art Institute

Until 5:00 PM — MASSMoCA: A wide range of summer exhibits. MASSMoCA

6:00 - 8:00 PM — FAMILIES AND GUESTS RECEPTION. Upper Cole Field

Sunday, July 24

9:00 AM — FAREWELL BRUNCH WITH YOUR EPHS. Upper Cole Field
