"In a way, being able to have a little perspective on what I've been afforded in terms of support networks, in terms of financial social support in stability, the opportunity to explore, really it simplifies for me how I try to engage community work with young people, what I try to do when I'm teaching, how I think about opportunity and because I think about what it takes to give a young person that sense of "oh I can explore I can try different things, I can fail."...
Aron Chang '05 is an urban designer and educator based in New Orleans, Louisiana. He works on community-based planning and design models for water infrastructure, resilience, and climate adaptation. Aron shares his journey as an architect, playing basketball with strangers, and using the support system he's been afforded to pay it forward.
