Alumni Web Community Terms of Use - User Agreement

The Williams College Alumni Web Community (AWC) and related online services are provided by the Office of Alumni Relations to encourage communication among students, alumni, parents, and friends for personal and professional networking and college-related activities.

User Access – use of this site is provided on an individual basis and only when there is direct relevance to, and support of the Office of Alumni Relations objectives. Users must agree to the Terms and Conditions for Proper Use (below) in order to access AWC. Users are responsible for their username and confidential password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their login.

Upholding the privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of alumni information is a vital component of the Office of Alumni Relations’ mission. Sharing passwords or providing unauthorized access to AWC to unauthorized users is a serious offense, which may subject you to formal discipline or removal from the web community. You must immediately notify the Office of Alumni Relations of any unauthorized use of your username or password or any other breach of security. The Office of Alumni Relations will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this requirement.

Terms and Conditions for Proper Use – All information contained on AWC remains the property of the Office of Alumni Relations and may not be reproduced in whole or in part by any person or entity without the written permission of the Office of Alumni Relations. Communications among alumni are not intended for publication or retransmission in any media.

Use of AWC to reproduce or store personally identifiable information in an outside retrieval system by any means, electronic or mechanical, or the use/distribution of address, email, or other contact information for mass communications, surveys, or promotional purposes are strictly prohibited. Also, individual alumni information may not be shared with other alumni. User access may be denied at any time, and the user subject to formal disciplinary actions, if these policies are violated.

Users granted access are also expected to help promote AWC by encouraging alumni to login, update their contact information, submit career updates, and utilize other features and services. Questions regarding AWC should be directed to the Office of Alumni Relations at [email protected].
